New Study: Jewish Refugees' Assets Double That of Arabs
Former CIA and U.S. Treasury official Sidney Zabludoff has released a new study titled The Palestinian Refugee Issue: Rhetoric vs. Reality, which has just been published in the Jewish Political Studies Review by the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs.
The study compares the lost assets of the Arabs who fled Israel with the Jewish Refugees form Arab countries and concludes that the Jewish assets were some 50 percent larger than those of the so-called Palestinian refugees and the difference in individual assets lost was even greater.
Total lost assets at current dollar rate:
Arabs: $3.9 billion
Jews: $6 billion
Number of refugees:
Arabs in 1948: 550,000
Arabs in 1967: 100,000
Jewish refugees in 1948 and following years: close to 1,000,000
